Every Wednesday Night
Head down to Clancy’s Fish Pub in Cantonment Street, Fremantle for “NOT BINGO”, a fun twist on Bingo with a lot of Aussie swearing, great music and a lot of laughs! Entry into the game is free, with some awesome prizes on offer.
The Fremantle Village Art Markets are held every Thursday from 10am – 4pm in Kings Square Fremantle (right next to the Town Hall). The Market boasts a vibrant mix of stalls offering locally designed and made products, home-wares, clothing, natural therapies, collectables as well as delicious specialty foods.
Saturday 6th – Wes Carr, Jessica Mauboy & Dean Geyer Perform for FREE
Head on down to Manning Park in Hamilton Hill for this event! From 5:30pm you can see the final of the first ever Cockburn Idol! Then sit back and enjoy the free performances from Jessica Mauboy, Wes Carr and Dean Geyer from 7:30pm. There will also be free CD / DVDs given away of Jessica Mauboy’s “Been Waiting”, so don’t miss out!
Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th – Araluen’s Fremantle Chilli Festival
Be sure to visit Esplanade Reserve in Fremantle this weekend for the Chilli Festival. Entry is only $15 for adults and $8 for school-aged children. The Festival is from 12noon – 8pm on Saturday, and 10am – 5pm Sunday. And for those who aren’t lovers of chilli, there are many other things for you to enjoy, including fresh foods, plants, pickles, wine, chocolate and a lot of entertainment!
Saturday 13th – The Black Seeds Perform
The Black Seeds are reggae-soul heavyweights from New Zealand who will be performing for 1 night only at the Fly By Night Club. Tickets are $33 and can be purchased online at www.flybynight.org or phone 9430 5976. You can take a chance and purchase tickets at the door for $40 but there is no guarantee there will be any left. Don’t miss this unique band!
Every Sunday Until 28th March – Theatresports
The Deckchair Theatre is home to Theatresports every Sunday night from 6pm. Be amazed and entertained by the teams who compete to impress you with their improvisational skills by doing skits, songs etc on the audiences suggestions. Courtney Murphy adds a dash of celebrity as musical director while there will also be surprise special guests each week.
Every Sunday in March – Jazz
From 4-7pm every Sunday head down to the Navy Club on High Street, Fremantle for a touch of Jazz. Entry is $13 per person.Sunday 14 March 2010 A first for Jazz Freo is the appearance of James Flyn and his Little Big Band. Top arrangements of hits by Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Buble and many more will excite and entertain you. Sunday 21 March 2010 What more can be said about June Smith and the Apple Band? With three engaging singers, and good arrangements, you are assured of a varied programme in a charity performance for Solaris Care.
